The "Three Little Words"

As I am sure that a lot of you women (and men as well) out there are aware- saying those "three little words" in a relationship are more often than not, rather difficult to say... Why is that? As I have been watching the seasons of Sex and the City (which I am just flying through- sadly, I have no life), I have notice that a lot of people throw it around pretty freely these days. Maybe it is just on the T.V., but I think it should be something special shared between two people, not just something said to say to anyone.

My fifth grade teacher, Mrs. Erickson, instilled the idea in me long ago that someone should mean it when they say it. She told our class a long drawn out story about her first love that really didn't love her back after she told him and he old her the "three little words". The moral of her story, was to not say it to just anyone, but to someone that you really mean it to.

So for you followers out there- I pass Mrs. Erickson's message on to you all... Tell only the people you mean it to that you love them. Don't waste these word on just anyone- the florist, the worker at McDonald's, or the cute bartender- but rather for someone that might be a little more deserving than the randoms in your life.

Sex and the City= Summer Boredom or Summer Fundom (Is That A Word?)

So, since the man friend left, I have taken it upon myself to watch the entire series of sex and the city. Now, it recently dawned on me, like as I was typing the title of this blog, that this could be construed as quite sad and pathetic- however, I think it shows dedication and love. I love the show and I am dedicated enough to watch nearly an entire season every night (no judgements please).

Other than Sex and the City, during the days at my job working at the information desk at the school- I watch many other t.v. shows and movies- again, maybe you're thinking to yourself "seriously Sina, get a hobby" or "read a book", but i've done all of that- and book are not free people, and I have read all of the ones that I own many times. But ANYWAYS, like I was saying, I watch other shows and movies during the day, such as True Blood, Party Down, The Office, The IT Crowd, Skins, Weeds, Californication, Glee, etc..

Sadly, I have just finished all of these shows as of yesterday at about 12 noon, and I am pleading to all of you to give me more ideas of some things I can watch. I have netflix, and I use all other online streaming sites. Anything you suggest, I am willing to watch at least once to check it out. Thank you everyone. Have a wonderful tuesday!

She Works Hard for the Money

This summer I took on a new job as a beverage cart girl at a local golf course. First of all, I love this job! I make excellent tips, enjoy the small talk with strangers, and get to be outside - what could be better?

While working yesterday some guy asked me if I've ever read 'Diaries of a Beer Cart Girl' or something like that. I said no but that I had enough stories to publish it in volumes. They laughed and went on there way. I have heard it all by now - the good, the bad and the ugly. I've made friends with old geezers that call me Mac as a nickname because they see me so much and avoided some creepers at all costs.

This job never sees a dull day because you always get at least one strange occurrence throughout your shift. Whether it's my wacky boss or the customers it's always sure to be an interesting day! Oh, and I do work hard for the money.

Brides, and Grooms, and Churches... OH MY!

So... This has been the longest week of my life I think! Thank goodness it is the weekend... And lucky me- I am going to my old roommates wedding this weekend- which will be just super... I LOVE getting the question, "so when will you be getting married?". It is the WORST! Just because I did not rush int marriage and a child- like the rest of my graduating class seemed to- does not mean that I am a loser, a lesbian (as I do have a man-friend), or don't believe in the institution of marriage- I just want to wait until I know it is the right time... So be aware wedding guests- if you ask me that dreaded question- I will either ignore you or slap you...

Maybe you think I am overreacting, but when you get asked that question, let me know how you feel. I had to deal with it almost every weekend last summer for my sisters wedding, and I was about to loose my cool... Thank goodness for alcohol (and don't worry- I am not an alcoholic)...

On a less cynical note- I hope everyone has a great weekend, and enjoy being single (if you are)!

WTF Mother Nature...

Hey there Mother Nature, you should listen to the wise... It is technically summer- and yet, it is cold, I see rain nearly every day, and the days are not as long as they should be. I think you should get your poop together and get that sunshine out and let me be able to sit on the beach without a blanket on and tan... ok? Thanks...

Tears for a Man... Not Me!

So, for the last month, I have been housing the man-friend while he was homeless, waiting to see where his life-after-graduation would take him, and waiting for his internship to start... After being with him nearly everyday, all day- it was weird when he left yesterday- for four weeks... But, instead of sitting around on my butt and pouting or being a big baby about it- I made myself dinner, , took a shower, watched a movie, drank a glass of wine, and worked out to a new DVD I think I am going to try to keep up with (which I am regretting today, for my entire body aches)... I think I handled it well, and I am excited to keep up with doing my own thing...

First Day Back... UGH!

You know when you take a break from school or work for a while- whether it is because of vacation or a holiday or whatever- and the first day back to your life is the WORST? Well, that is today for me... Why is it so difficult to get back in to the swing of things? I mean- I was only gone for two weeks- It should NOT be that difficult...

Vacation was a success, time with my man-friend was a success, a little r&r was a success... What the h#%@!!!!! Why am I dying today at work... AHHH! However will I survive...

First Generation B Dubs

You guys have heard about my troubles with the B Dubs on campus in Duluth and my dislike for them. Well, one of my close friends whom I nanny for filled me in on a story from her past. For those of you who forgot B Dubs is a "skinny little blonde whore". She told me that she used to call girls just like our B Dubs a similar name: SW - stupid whore. Haha! When she told me this story I couldn't believe how similar it was to the name I christened an ex boyfriends girlfriend. How alike we all our when it comes to our lovers past interests.

Do you guys give horrible names to ex's or am I the only villian here?

Mix Tapes

There are not many things that I like more than a classic mixed tape from a friend or a man-friend. I think that they show all sorts of different things about a person and what they think of you.

I love making them and I love receiving them... just an FYI out there for you all... :)

Quote of the Day

I was out for a night on the town last night with a few girlfriends when we ran into a bachelor party. They asked what we were going to be up to the rest of the night and invited us to come on the boat they had rented on the St. Croix River. We told them we'd think it over and let them know what we came up with. My friend Meg and I decided that we would tell them where we were going but decided not to go on the boat.

We walked over to their table and on our way Meg says, "Their going to say, 'we didn't order the two sasquatches!' " We are both 5' 11'' and gangly as all get out. Sasquatch is a tame name for us as we walked over with our knuckles dragging on the ground.

FInding That Perfect Swimsuit: A Challenge I Am NOT Up For

Finding the perfect swimsuit for each summer seems to be an ongoing battle that I NEVER win. I look on a million different websites each year, go to a million different stores and search every rack, look through pages and pages of magazines- and yet, no dice. People tell me it is because I am too picky about what I want, I say "HA!", it's better to be picky that settle for just anything, in my opinion.

This year, to no one's surprise, I have yet to find a good swimsuit. I like the bottoms that I purchased last year, however- last summer, during a wonderful session of sunning- I busted out of my top, and have had to retire it for go
od (I am still not sure how this
happened...). The search continues, but now with more pressure than ever before. I leave next week for my
trip to the Virgin Islands, and I would like to have the perfect swimsuit because I will be in it 24/7 I am sure. I am searching frantically, and I am near giving up hope- but part of me is still thinking I will score some luck and find it... Wish me luck!
